Ndayikengurukiye Apolinery is a 24-year-old refugee from Burundi, currently living in Tanzania. His journey into exile began in December 2015, when he was forced to flee his homeland due to the conflict that was ravaging Burundi at the time. Seeking safety, he found refuge in Nduta, one of the largest refugee camps in Tanzania, where his life changed in many ways over the years.

Throughout his time in Nduta, Ndayikengurukiye witnessed firsthand the impact of AIRD’s humanitarian efforts. He recalls how AIRD worked tirelessly to improve the living conditions of refugees in the camp.
