The story of Mr. Ouedraogo Evariste is that of a journey built with patience, resilience, and commitment, in a humanitarian environment where every logistical detail can make a difference. It all started at the AIRD Djibo office in 2013, when he joined the Organization as a spare parts storekeeper.

“I remember when I started, I didn’t know all the ins and outs yet, but I knew that every part I managed could allow a vehicle to go back on a mission. It was a great responsibility,” he says

For four years, he perfected his sense of organization and rigor, ensuring that operations were never paralyzed by a lack of parts. In 2018, he took a new turn by becoming Fuel Manager in Djibo, and for three years, he became the guarantor of this vital resource.

“Fuel is the blood of humanitarian action. Without it, no convoy, no distribution, no movement is possible. I always had in mind that every liter meant a lot,” he says.

Thanks to his vigilance and integrity, he ensures business continuity even in times of high security tension. In 2021, he was assigned to Ouagadougou as a Warehouse Warehouseman, a role that allowed him to further expand his expertise.

“I want the warehouse to be a place where you can find what you need quickly. Clean, organized, secure… It’s my pride when I’m told that everything is clear and accessible,” he adds

However, it is in situations of high pressure that Evariste has distinguished himself the most. One day, when a mission was in danger of being compromised due to a lack of available vehicles, he managed to restore twenty assets in record time. Beyond his technical skills, Evariste is recognized for his team spirit and generosity. He accompanies new employees, supervises students, and interns in the field of logistics.

“I believe very much in sharing. What I have learned, I want to pass on, because it is together that we succeed,” he proudly says.

Today, with more than a decade of experience in the service of humanitarian action, Mr. Ouedraogo Evariste embodies resilience and dedication.
