Aline lives in fear of knowing that her child might live in a foreign country for a long time. She came from DRC, a place she called home for the last 27 years. She moved to Uganda in May 2023 after a bomb hit her house. Luckily for her, neither she nor her 1-year-old child was in the house at the time so they survived.
” My child is my priority and because Uganda is generally a peaceful country, i do not have to worry about her safety. Hopefully she will be able to study here with no segregation and have a better chance to live. So far I have been welcomed and I feel safe for myself and my child”. she narrates
